Tried the #4 ($8.50) bbq chicken and hubby tried the #7 ($9.99)grilled bangus both came w choice of a side. I had the pancit palabok and hubby picked the pancit bijon (a lil smoky).

They give you two generous scoops of rice and the medium size side. It was a LOT of food for one person.

The bangus was good, expect the usual bones; the chicken was tender and seasoned & prepared perfectly.

The only gripe about the side options is that I prefer fresh  unseasoned or steamed sides and they only had prepared side meals. But it's truly the Filipino cuisine rich in sauces, deep fried, and heavy on sodium. Restaurant Filipino food is not a food we will eat often, but was good to try it once at least.

OMG, this place serve raw longanisa. It was soft, mushy and cold on the breakfast combo. I believe longanisa is pork and can really pose a lot of issues if eaten raw. Imagine I let my kids eat this without tasting it first. Kids don't any better, they couldn't of gotten sick. The pork/chicken skewers are all marinated red, just thrown on the grill. I ate some that was raw, it's not visible until you pinch on it and see the blood. Isn't this a health hazard? Health Dept should be notified as their food is properly cooked.

Service there is a hit or miss, really depends on who you get.

I don't know.. on the fence on this place that's in the food court area of the new Seafood City here in Henderson. Not a fan of food already prepared sitting exposed out for God knows how long.  With that said, the bbq pork stick, rice and side of (Diniguan) was fairly heated and the "chocolate" meat satisfied my craving.

The price is right. The hours of operation (8am - 10pm) super convenient. Staff is friendly and I observed respectful to all customers. Still though, for dining in, much rather go to the new Filipino  restaurant Manila BBQ on Sunset.

Stopped by for lunch after work to get a feel for the place. They have 2 restaurants to choose from inside the Seafood City Market: Grill City and Noodle Street. Today's stop is Grill City.

Walking in to the market, the place smelled brand new. Give it a couple weeks until it gets that unique Filipino supermarket smell. Grill City is the very first restaurant you'll see to the right when you step inside. The communal dining area is very clean after only being open for less than a week, so we'll see how it goes as time passes by.

For lunch, I opted for their #1 Combo: 1 bbq skewer with rice for $8.50. The marinade on the bbq pork is sweet, but not overpowering. Light coating for sure which my face appreciated for less the mess after eating. Nice big slices of the pork on a 12" bamboo skewer.

A la Carte Mungo - nice thick stew-like consistency, instead of the watery versions you get at other restaurants. Love the big pieces of greens inside.

A la Carte Chicken Adobo - not a fan. They use chicken drumsticks and very oily. Lacks the vinegar tang that I'm used to from other places. Definitely skip this for my next visit.

A la Carte Pancit Bihon - rice noodles that is not over cooked, greatly seasoned with no need to add a squeeze of lemon,  but it would be great if they provided a wedge. Generous cuts of vegetables which I love. I wonder if they can do half rice half pancit for my next visit?

A la Carte Calamansi Juice - avoid! Very watered down. Such a waste of money.

After filling my lunch tray and sitting down,  I was not a fan of the long style dining table. For a brand new place, the table was very unstable. Not the best if it gets full and I just foresee a  accident waiting to happen.

All in all, definitely worth a visit. Will likely return as it is in a convenient location to and from work.

Not sure if these workers even know how to communicate or interact with customers.. or is it a Filipino thing? Could be both... whatever it is.. I'm not your cousin or just another Filipino who you can just raise your eyebrows at me when I'm asking a question. Just say.. Yes or No... Simple !! And of course, we all know Filipinos do it.. but please don't point with your lips when I'm asking where something is. Keep it professional and learn some kind of customer service etiquette. Learning to smile and/or atleast pretend to be happy at your job can go a long way.
